Activity: Presenting

Teaching Method:

Strategies/Goals:

In this introduction the instructor is providing visual inspiration to engage the students. The overall goal volition be the excite students about architecture and outset the thought proccess of what architecture means to them.

Activities:

  • Ask the students what they feel Architecture means to them.
  • Permit for classroom discussion

Student Instructions

  • View video and take notes that take hold of your attention for a discussion later on the video.
  • Students volition participate in a course discussion that relates back to the video-what did they like about the video and what did they not like about the video.

  • The teacher will direct students to utilize their technology device  to download  if not already provided, the Simplenote app.
  • The teacher shall provide assitance to students in using the app and volition provide a brief sit-in on how to take notes and think them using the app.

  • The goal is to provide students volition a technological form of annotation taking.
  • Increase educatee success in note-taking
  • Provide students with data needed to create floor plans

Student Instructions

  • Using the Simplenote App on students tablets or computers, students take notes from lecture.
  • The students will reverberate back and use notes during class discussing or test taking.

  • Teacher will provide design brief of specifications to create and design a flooring plan

Strategies/Goals:

  • Using a electronic form of webbing or listen-mapping will permit students to express solutions and ideas to the class in a visual form.
  • Students will employ the specifications from the pattern brief to map out ideas

Activities:

  • Teacher sit-in on Bubble.u.s.
  • After students complete their own listen-map or spider web instructor volition create a group spider web or mind-map

Student Instructions

  • Using Bubble.u.s. app students will complete a web of ideas about shapes and what they could exist used for.
  • Students will so use a "Remember, Pair, Share" activity to hash out their findings.

Using the Home Design 3D app students will:

  • Students will apply the design brief provided by the teacher to create a floor plan that meets the specifications gear up
  • Provide evidance of understanding and problem solving using the required app

Using the Slideidea app or website and the Rubric from the instructor students will:

  • Students will use Ipads or tablets to create presentations on their floor plans and blueprint ideas to share with the class.
  • Students will create images using the Dwelling Design 3D awarding and share reasoning to the class of pattern
  • Students will present solutions to the class
